Quindell Orton

Quindell is the artistic program manager of AIVDT, and trained at WAAPA, completing her BA (Dance) in 2008.
A central individual in the development of AIVDT (Anything Is Valid Dance Theatre) Quindell has a great interest in choreography and improvisation with specific interest in physical theatre, acting, site specific work, interactive art, text and prop usage.Her latest choreographic works have been performed in the Putting on an Act Festival at PICA ('The Private Public') and D.A.S.H PICA season ('Place X, Time Y'). Having studied contemporary dance, ballet and drama at John Curtin College of the Arts, Quindell went on to undertake her Bachelor of Arts in dance at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
A member of Steps Youth Dance Company in 2005-6 she performed in the lead role of Felicity in Kissxxx. Over the past 5 years she has worked with choreographers such as Claudia Alessi (Combat Wombat), Nanette Hassell (Terra), Danielle Micich (Steps projects Mania and Kissxxx), Alice Lee Holland (Bang Bang, Kissxxx), Umesh Shetty (Varsha), Michael Whaites (Into Thin Air) and Anton (Garry Stewart’s Birdbrain).
