Gillian Sarangapany
Age: 24
Gillian holds a Bachelor of Arts (Dance) from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. She is currently the assistant manager of the WA Performance School and is a founding company member of Perth's newest contemporary dance company, Visible Dance.
Gillian was selected to join Link Dance Company for 2006 under the direction of Michael Whaites, touring with the company internationally and performing throughout Europe.She has worked closely with choreographers such as Justin Rutzou, Sue Peacock, Annabelle Bonnery, Clare Dyson, Sandra Parker and many more. After performing for Strut in 2007, Gillian travelled to London and took part in several independent performances.
In 2000, Gillian was an award winner of the Australian Institute of Classical Dance (Royal Academy of Dancing) and was invited to perform with the West Australian Ballet for their season of Cinderella. In 2006, she was awarded the Critics Choice "Dancer to Watch (Perth)" by Dance Australia Magazine.
